Description

Martin Surl was a chief of staff with the Association of Chief Police Officers before retiring in January1. He joined the police at 23 and eventually reached operational commander for Cheltenham and Tewkesbury1. He was sent as a EU advisor to Estonia to assist their Justice and Crime ministry2. He worked within ACPO on UK counter-terrorism planning2
